LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
1 DAY- 12 PTS

Lake Nakuru lies in the volcano strewn Rift Valley. One of the chain of 8 lakes which stretch the length of Kenya from Tanzania to Ethiopia. The 160 kms drive from Nairobi passes through highlands farms of the Kikuyu people descending an escarpment into the dramatic landscape of the Rift Valley. Lunch is taken in the Park and is followed by an extensive tour of the park. On the return journed to Nairobi, a stop is made at Lake Naivasha where tea is taken among the fewer trees and were bird watchers will be delighted in the fantastic array of bird life.

AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
1 ½ DAYS AND 2 DAYS
NAIROBI – AMBOSELI

A night stop in the Park enable a more leisurely encounter with the magnificent array of wildlife than is possible on the day of safari. The tour leaves in the morning reaching Amboseli National Park in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive in the area of the permanent swamps will reveal much game – large and small, eminently photogenic in these splendid surroundings. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or near the park.

AMBOSELI – NAIROBI

On the second day there is an early morning game drive before leaving for Nairobi which is reached in time for lunch.

TREE HOTEL – 1 ½ DAYS

There are three “tree hotels” in the vicinity of Nyeri about 160 kms North of Nairobi. Treetops and the Ark are in the forest of the Aberdare mountains and Mountain lodge is on the slopes of Mt. Kenya.

NAIROBI – TREE HOTEL DAY 1

The drive passes the small industrial town of Thika surrounded by extensive pineapple plantations. After crossing the Tana River, source of much of Kenya’s hydro power, the landscape changes and becomes more lush as you climb into the rich farmlands of the Kikuyu people. Lunch is taken at the Outspan Hotel in Nyeri. Visitors visit Treetops, Mountain Lodge and the Aberdare Country Club instead of the Ark. In the afternoon proceed to your Tree Club instead of the Ark. In the afternoon proceed to your Tree Hotel where the night is spent and where a procession of forest animals visit the floodlight water hotels and saltlicks. Elephants, Rhinos, Buffalos, Giant forest hog and many other species are commonly seen.

TREE HOTEL – NAIROBI DAY 2

In the morning descend to your hotel before returning to Nairobi in time for lunch.
